CNC Compact Laminate Cutting
What is Compact Laminate?
Compact laminate is a sleek & strong, man-made material comprised of recycled paper fibres that have been coated in resin, stacked and then dried. The layers are inserted between pieces of laminate before being compressed under a high pressure and heated to a high temperature to permanently fuse them together.
Compact Laminate vs Laminate
Traditional laminate uses just x3 layers to create a sheet approx. 2mm thick, and the sheet is then glued to MDF. Compact laminate uses the same process, but instead of incorporating MDF sheets, it provides its own structure by adding multiple layers of paper and resin until the desired thickness is achieved.
Why choose Laminate for CNC cutting?
What can you make from Compact Laminate?
Laminate can be used for a variety of residential and commercial applications, from a family kitchen to a laboratory worktop. You can make cubicles, lockers and wall linings for construction sites, or tabletops and cabinets for cafes. Its most popular use, however, is for home kitchen benchtops and splashbacks.
How much does cutting Compact Laminate cost?
Pricing always depends on the type of project you have (i.e. size and design requirements).
